Captains Match Report by Alyssa Tunstall
Starting the day we met our new teammate Mollie pitch side. We are so excited to have you join.... I only just realising we didn't actually introduce our names... oopsie
Captain Lyss introduced a new passing warmup to the team, the 10 pass challenge, it might take a few weeks to get the hang of it.
Having bare 11 everyone knew it would be a tough game but we all were willing to put everything we had in.
It was a rough start to the game with Andover attacking heavily down the middle and us struggling to clear the ball. Pretty soon we were 7-0 down at the end of the first half.
During half time we all had a sugar rush and talked over what we could go better and how to achieve that then we were back out for the second half.
This seemed to go better for us as Andover were attacking down the wings, which apparently we can defend better. With Andover only scoring 3 in the second half it was established that a sugar rush is working for us.
With Andover choosing Ellie as their player of the match, which was completely deserved by the way, we finished with a 10-0 loss. But no matter the score I'm so proud of how all the girls played. Ellise hope your ribs get better soon. Well done everyone for your efforts today, thank you for all parents who came to watch and get the team to Andover.
A little break coming up, then off to Romsey on 20th Oct.
