The U8’s travelled down the road to Portsmouth this chilly yet sunny morning.
The team was in great spirits and eager to go.
The first match was not long to wait and the squad of 7 Gosport players put the team of 9 Haslemere 2 to the sword with a crushing victory.
Next up was Havant 2, Havant 1, Fareham, Haslemere 1 & Portsmouth who were all well beaten by the outstanding play of the U8’s. A very happy coach can say hand on heart that it’s the best the young team has played to date with positions held (in space) players running into spaces, great accurate passing and clinical finishing along with great effort running back to get themselves into defensive positions to make great strong tackles! All of the players deserve a mention for their amazing play but the player of the tournament was Young Tomas Sutton for some great defending and timing his run to get to the back post to score his first goal!
