U8's Minifest Report

Under 8’s minifest report:
Another masterclass by Gosport under 8’s as they continue to grow and gel as a team.
The defence was strong throughout with Thomas commanding from the back and making some key tackles to ensure no goals were scored against the under 8’s in all 6 games, and with a piercing run from the back he also scored his first minifest goal. Taylor, Jack and Molly all made some good tackles and followed Thomas’s lead to ensure a solid back wall was maintained.
Gosport’s midfield had a blinding day with Kaylen at Left Half, Nathan at Centre Mid and William (Bilbo) Right Half. Kaylen’s first minifest was a resounding success with very strong play and some superb rollouts displayed in the game, also scoring his first goal on his debut. Nathan was his usual tenacious self in midfield, fighting for everything and punishing the opposition for their less than clinical passing as well as scoring the winning goal in the last game of the day. William had a great day on the Right, regularly beating his marker and creating a significant number of goals through his runs down the Left and clean passes to his teammates. Throughout the game he was critical to success with his great positioning and selfless play.
Centre forward was Jacob who again, with the support of his midfield, broke down the opposition defence with a number of well placed goals and reverse strikes, also some great passes to his teammates to set them up for goals.
All round a superb performance from a team I am proud to coach. Well done to you all.
