Members,
I'm delighted to share that the M1898 won their last game against Haslemere with a turn around at half-time and they have a well deserved promotion into South Division 5 because they eventually came 2nd in their Solent Division 1 after a long season, starting their games first and ending last.

Today, saw the long awaited final of the Men's Hampshire Trophy match between our Men's 1st XI and Andover 1XI. The inital play ended 1-1 so went to 8 second shuffles and ended 4-3 win to Gosport with 4 goals and 2 saves from our Graeme with his quick reactions. Another win on the books and this time they came home with silver medals and another pennant. Congratulations to Coach Stu and Captain Niall on their superb achievement and getting Gosport recognised again in its long history of grass-roots hockey.

Thanks go to all the volunteers and coaches for making this season another special one, a special one with the bonus of winning ways and still our little hockey family grows and is being recognised in the extended England Hockey network.

As a celebration of all these achievements the Club are offering all current fee-paying members free access to Summer Fun @HMS SULTAN for over 13 weeks starting this Thursday 7-9pm 7 May '25 through to August. This follows on from the success of previous years but we've doubled the time and extended the period, keeping friendships alive, everyone active and prepared ready for what 25/26 season brings. All I ask is that you ensure Pitchero is updated with your availability because I need to send lists of participants to HMS Sultan's Security the day before. Non-members the fee is £22. All sessions are pre-loaded in Pitchero and are for adults only, juniors permitted by invitation only and must be accompanied by their grown-up (playing grown-ups preferred) to ensure their safety.

Alongside these sessions will be a Back2Hockey programme with Coach Mike, if you know of anyone who would be interested in this please do get in touch. Registration in Pitchero is needed for these sessions too.
