Issue of Non MOD and Membership (clubs) passes - Gosport Borough Hockey Club
Further to the Chairman's message from earlier today I hereby include further details about how to get in our new home, Fort Grange HMS SULTAN.
All Club members are required to complete the attached form 'Enclosure 1 to XTM 25/17' and read the Conditions of Use in full. I am the Sponsor and have completed the relevant section of the form.
Once completed the form is to be taken to the HMS SULTAN security gate accessed via Cambridge Road, please park in the visitor's lay-by and proceed by foot, it's not far (just inside the gate). The building you need to be directed to is known locally as HQ1, where a clubs membership card will be issued. Please note that you will have to attend in person as a digital photograph will be required to be taken. Please also supply a suitable form of identification (in accordance with section 2 of the form). The pass will last for 1 year then the process will have to be repeated.
Let's strike whilst the iron is hot and get as many members registered for permanent passes before the start of the season. This will prevent delays obtaining access for training or matches in the future. No pass no access. There is currently no other process in place to obtain access so applying for a permanent pass is mandatory.
Visiting teams will follow the previously agreed process of notifying the security staff at least 24 hours before a match.
A little bit of effort now will save delays obtaining access, prevent long queues at the gate and making the process that much slicker. The guards on the gate are familiar with this process as all staff and clubs based at HMS SULTAN follow this method.
Parents or club members already based at HMS SULTAN need not apply, you'll gain access as if you're going to work as normal.
You'll notice that U16s need not apply for a pass but they must be escorted by a permanent pass holder.
